For nearly twenty years, when you came to The London Tea Room, we set the table for you. Scones baked that morning, tea poured just so, and the small touches that turn an afternoon into an occasion.

What We Bake

Everything here is made by hand in our kitchen on Union Blvd, the same way we make it for afternoon tea service.

Scones

Our signature scones, baked fresh each morning. Our flavors change seasonally, so there is always a reason to try something new. Sold by the half dozen, and best eaten the day you collect them. Add cream and jam or our inhouse spread to make it a proper tea service at your own table.

Hot Tea

Enjoy a selection of our finest teas. Steeped to order and enough for 10 lovely cups. Our scones are hardly complete without it. Don't forget to add the milk, sugar, and honey.

Cakes

Our renowned Blueberry Lemon Cake. One cake, twelve slices, all delicious. Whole cakes available with 1 days notice.

Savouries

You wont find a tastier sausage roll this side of the Atlantic. Makes for a hearty breakfast or perfect lunch.

How Ordering Works

1. Order online. Browse the full bakery menu and place your order through our ordering system. Payment is taken at checkout.

2. Choose your pickup time. Order just 30 minutes in advance for same day pick up any day we are open. Or oder up to two weeks in advance to secure your order. Cake orders need at least a 1 day notice.

3. Collect at the tea room. Come to host stand at your chosen time. We will have everything boxed and ready.

Parking is available in the back lot and street parking up front. If you are collecting a large order and would like a hand out to the car, tell us when you arrive and we will help.

Why It Tastes Like This

We are not a bakery that also sells tea. We are a British Tea Room that has been baking for its own dining room since 2007, which means every recipe here was developed to be eaten alongside a proper pot of tea and combines exciting flavors with classic British favorites.

All our bakery items are made by hand and in-house by our experienced team of pastry chefs. Decades of experience are baked into our savories and sweets. The tea is The London Tea Merchant's, made by hand, with blends you won't find anywhere else.

Questions

Do you deliver?

Not at the moment. All orders are collected at the tea room in the Central West End.

How far ahead can I order?

Up to 14 days out. For holidays and large orders, sooner is safer, and we do sell out.

Can I order for the same day?

Yes, if you order no later than 4pm. We ask for a day's notice on all cake orders.

Do you have gluten free or vegan options?

Not yet, but as our bakery grows we look forward to offering more options that suite all our guests.

How should I store scones?

Eat them the day you collect them if you can. Otherwise keep them in a sealed container at room temperature and warm them for a few minutes in a low oven. Please do not refrigerate them, which dries them out faster than leaving them on the counter.

Can I buy tea to take home as well?

Yes. You can buy a carry-case of hot brewed tea with your order. We also carry loose leaf tea from The London Tea Merchant in the tea room, and you are welcome to add it when you collect your order.

Bring the tea room home

Our dining room has been serving afternoon tea in St. Louis since 2007. The bakery is the same kitchen, the same recipes, now boxed up to take with you.
